Chocolate Cake 




  • 360 g spelt flour
  • 300 g corn sugar
  • 180 ml sunflower oil
  • 180 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 7 g baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt


  1. Pre-Heat the oven to 160°C
  2. Beat the eggs until fluffy with a hand-held mixer, add the sugar and keep beating for a short while
  3. Add oil, flour, cocoa powder and salt  and keep beating
  4. Add the milk to the mixture and beat further until everything is well mixed
  5. Fill the dough in a greased 26 cm cake pan.
  6. Bake it for about 50 minutes at 160°C
  7. Let it cool down on a cooling rack. When the cake has cooled down, you can cut it into small round shapes or squares and ice it with chocolate icing..

Chocolate Icing

  • 25 g corn sugar 
  • 1 packet chocolate pudding powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  1.  Make the pudding according to the packet, but with just 250 ml of milk and 25 g of sugar.
  2.  Leave to cool, covered with clingfilm to avoid a skin on the pudding
  3.  Whip the cream until stiff      
  4.  Combine the cooled pudding and the cream bit by bit, to create a creamy and smooth topping
  5. Pipe the topping on the cakes and decorate as wished
