Cheese Scones


Prepartion time: 15 minutes

Difficulty: simple

Yield: 6 



  • 150 g spelt flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 30 g butter (lactose free)
  • 100 g grated cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk (lactose free)





  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
  2. Mix the flour with the salt and baking powder
  3.  Add the butter and rub in to make fine crumbs
  4. Mix in the cheese and egg
  5.  Add the milk and mix to a soft dough (you may need a bit more milk)
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface und cut into rounds
  7. Place on a baking tray with greaseproof paper und brush with a little beaten egg
  8. Bake for approx. 20 minutes until golden brown
  9. Remove from the oven and leave to cool slightly
  10. They taste best when still warm ­čśŐ


By 6 scones, 1 scone contains 0,07 g fructose/0,2 g glucose/no sorbitol (approx.)
